Moolmanshoek

Moolmanshoek consist of two award-winning studs namely:  Moolmanshoek SA Boerperde and Moolmanshoek Endurance horses.  There are more than 300 horses that make Moolmanshoek their home where they are bred, trained and ridden and we've also had the honour of exporting some of our top endurance horses to the middle Eastern Countries.

Come and experience horse riding as never before in the spectacular Eastern Free State Mountains. It is an experience you will never forget!

We offer game viewing horse riding trips for guests, which vary from 1 to 2 hours through the spectacular Moolmanshoek Valley on well trained horses, suitable for the novice and experienced rider.

1 Night Lodge / 2 Day Horse Safari Combo

Middle October to Middle May

This is a multi-day trip through the game reserve.  It includes three nights' accommodation, of which two are in our 4 star lodge, and the other one in the "holkrans" (a sandstone overhang).  The accommodation is a primitive African close-to-nature experience with only basic facilities.  

The tariff for this safari is R1220 per person per night (sharing) for a minimum of 4 people, which includes the accommodation, horse riding, all meals, (including a braai and breakfast in the holkrans,  drinks excluded).  Lunch will be a picnic in the Reserve.  Groups are accompanied by a well-trained guide.
